Thursday morning I’m leaving for the Microsoft TechEd event in Houston. On my way to Houston I’ll spend a few days in one of the cities on this planet I truly love… New York. It’ll be lots of shopping, sightseeing, great food and relaxing… Nothing else TechEd is one of the biggest events in world for IT Pro’s. This year my main focus will be on System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager, Windows Intune, Windows 8.1 Update and hopefully more information about the next release of Windows (that was announced during the build keynote a few weeks ago). In the…

I’m a huge fan of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), so with the announcement of SCCM 2012 R2 adopting some of the core MDT features, I was wondering what the roadmap would be with the “LiteTouch” product. At TechEd, Aaron Czechowski and Michael gave some of these answers, and so far it’s looking good . Here is what they shared at TechEd 2013 in New Orleans during the “What’s New with Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2012 Update 1” Session: The preview release of MDT 2013 will be available in June 2013. Added support for the following scenarios: Windows 8.1 Windows Server 2012…
Microsoft TechEd North America 2013 in New Orleans has kicked off, and the sessions has started to show up on Channel 9, where most sessions and PowerPoint slides will be available 24 hours after the presentation. I’ve just watched the WCA-B328 Microsoft System Center 2012 SP1 – Configuration Manager Overview session by Jason Adams and Dilip Radhakrishnan. And even if it the session title says SCCM 2012 SP1, lots of the new R2 stuff was covered. Truly a great overview session. All Microsoft events have a lot of traditions, and TechEd Europe 2010 was no exception. Like previous years Microsoft Denmark hosted a great “Country Drink Party” for all the Danish attendees. Over 400 IT Pro’s and Developers attended… It was really great seeing a lot of old friends, customers and partners. TechEd:Berlin 2010 VIEW SLIDE SHOW DOWNLOAD ALL
Sunday morning I’m leaving for TechEd Europe in Berlin. One of the biggest Microsoft events in Europe for IT Pro’s. First thing on the agenda was the Keynote… As usual Bob Muglia was doing this presentation. I don’t want to go into any details about the keynote or the sessions. But if I say the keynote was both predictable and a bit boring I don’t think I’ll offend anyone. Better luck next year 🙂 My first real session was “What’s new in SP1 in ConfigMgr”. Not a “tech sexy” topic, but I think Wally did a good job. The focus was on Asset Intelligence 1.5 and the Intel AMT feature (Out of band management). After lunch I went to a…
