Installing SCCM 2012 SP1 CU1 is a simple process, but before you start, you should always check the health of the system, very the backup etc. Just like any other service pack or update.

SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 2 Now Available

Microsoft has released Service Pack 2 to SQL Server 2008. More details and the download are available from the following link:

Upgrading ConfigMgr 2007 SP2 BETA to RC

This scenario is NOT supported, but I did it anyway, and so far everything seems to be running just fine. This upgrade was done in test environment and I don’t recommend doing this in production, unless you’re a TAP customer.

Uninstalling Windows Automated Installation Kit

Before running setup, you need to uninstall the previous RC version of Windows AIK.

Click Start, and type Programs and Features, and press Enter.

Select Windows Automated Installation Kit, and click Uninstall.

Click Yes.

Click Allow.

Click Yes to restart the server.

Announcing the System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 Technology Adoption Program

Microsoft is currently building the update to System Center Configuration Manager (ConfigMgr07) 2007 titled Service Pack 2. The ConfgMgr Technology Adoption Program (TAP) team is pleased to announce that we are now soliciting participation in the System Center Configuration Manager Service Pack 2 Product Validation program.

Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 released

Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 now offers full support for management with Windows Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008, integrates customer feedback, feature Integration with Intel vPro Technology and enhances Asset Intelligent features.

For reference, this is a new server and client version, so all need to be upgraded. And you will need to upgrade to SP1 in order to use the Configuration Manager 2007 R2 features (they require SP1).
