Upgrading ConfigMgr 2007 SP2 BETA to RC
0This scenario is NOT supported, but I did it anyway, and so far everything seems to be running just fine. This upgrade was done in test environment and I don’t recommend doing this in production, unless you’re a TAP customer.
Uninstalling Windows Automated Installation KitBefore running setup, you need to uninstall the previous RC version of Windows AIK.
Click Start, and type Programs and Features, and press Enter.
Select Windows Automated Installation Kit, and click Uninstall.
Click Yes.
Click Allow.
Click Yes to restart the server.
Log in as Administrator.

Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 1 released
1Configuration Manager 2007 SP1 now offers full support for management with Windows Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008, integrates customer feedback, feature Integration with Intel vPro Technology and enhances Asset Intelligent features.
For reference, this is a new server and client version, so all need to be upgraded. And you will need to upgrade to SP1 in order to use the Configuration Manager 2007 R2 features (they require SP1).
